Your Guide to MHL

Visiting Materials Handling and Logistics Expo is an exciting, but at times daunting experience for some, particularly those attending for the first time. With hundreds of exhibitors showcasing thousands of products across four large exhibition halls, where do you start? To help, we’ve put together a few tips and tricks to get you through a successful visit to the exhibition.

There is a fantastic selection of new and returning suppliers across all of the halls so make sure you manage your time well, here are some of the highlights not to be missed:

  • Hall 1: Packed with a range of great new and returning suppliers, this is where you’ll find the Innovation Quarter featuring the latest and greatest from the industry

  • Hall 2: Here you’ll find the Business Growth Hub, Seminar Room 2, and The SMC Izakaya Bar – A great place to stop for a break before you get amongst the rest of the exhibition.

  • Halls 3 & 4: Jam-packed with suppliers – be prepared to take your time around the exciting and innovative displays, there’s a lot to see here!

Opening Hours

  • Day 1 – Tuesday 18th September 9am-6pm

  • Day 2 – Wednesday 19th September 9am-6pm

  • Day 3 – Thursday 20th September 9am-5pm

Places to eat and drink

  • The SMC Izakaya Bar located in Hall 2 – Grab a beverage here

  • Coffee Carts - throughout the halls

  • Food Trucks - outside the main halls

  • Foodcourt - in the main concourse


  • Seminar Room 1 is located up the stairs by show information and round to the left on the first floor

  • Seminar Room 2 is located within the Business Growth Hub in Hall 2, Stand no. 2041

Double check which room your chosen seminar is being held in, announcements will be made over the loud speaker throughout each day.

Stand Etiquette

The suppliers put in a huge amount of time and effort to delight you with their products and services. They provide you with excellent service when visiting their stands. Below are a couple of points to keep in mind during your journey around the exhibition:

  • This is a trade-only event and children under 14 years of age are not permitted to enter, babies are permitted to be carried in a front-pack or sling – no pushchairs are allowed due to health and safety regulations.

  • Please no photography on stands without prior permission from the exhibitor

  • If the exhibitor is busy when you visit, do try and come back later or hand them a business card so they can contact you when they are next available

  • Canvassing for orders is strictly prohibited during the exhibition
